Brief Description
The General Organization for Physical Planning, in Egypt, has embarked in the urban development of Al-Dahab Island (area around 500 acre) in the middle of the Nile River, in Greater Cairo Region. The T&I was commissioned to develop the Transportation masterplan for the island together with the connections with the regional road network.
T&I has developed a microscopic simulation model which was used as a testbed for evaluating proposed scenarios and the development of an updated masterplan.
