Brief Description
To accommodate future expansion and ensure sustainable growth, this project updates the transportation masterplan for the 10 million square meter Soma Bay resort. The T&I scope encompasses conducting a current conditions assessment to identify existing bottlenecks, followed by a travel demand analysis to forecast future trip distribution across expanding zones. A traffic operations assessment then evaluates peak-season capacity and Level of Service (LOS) using micro-simulation modeling, culminating in a concept design of the road network that introduces an updated road hierarchy integrated with eco-friendly infrastructure like bicycle paths and dedicated electric shuttle lanes.
