Brief Description
The project aims to enhance the performance of the existing 2,750 mm diameter sewage tunnel in the western region by constructing a new parallel tunnel with a proposed diameter of 3,000 mm. This additional tunnel is intended to increase the overall system capacity, particularly during winter storm events. As part of this upgrade, the capacity of the inlet lift station at the Western Wastewater Treatment Plant in Alexandria will also be upgraded to handle a flow rate of 220,000 cubic meters per day.
